Installation requires placing the handle into the tailgate while making sure to use the proper fastener at its correct installation spot because replacement fasteners require exact part numbers for proper use. Any application of paints or lubricants or corrosion inhibitors to fasteners or joint surfaces should be avoided because they modify torque values and clamping force performance. Secure the handle to the tailgate by locking in position with 3 bolts while torqueing to 25 nm (18 lb ft). You should install the tailgate spoiler first then reconnect the handle linkage rods followed by Tailgate Latch adjustment and installation of the Tailgate Handle bezel.

In installation, hold the handle in the tailgate and tighten the 3 bolts into 25 n.m (18 lb ft). Then, install back the tailgate spoiler and quicklink the handle linkage rods and adjust the Tailgate Latch. Immensely, reconnect the Tailgate Handle bezel.
