Start the front door interior handle replacement process by removing two different screws: one screw retains the front inside door handle bezel to the door trim panel and another retains the rear inside door handle bezel. The inside door handle bezel disconnects from the door trim panel when the operator slides it toward the back. When installing the parts allow the inside door handle and lock rod to pass through correct bezel openings while adjusting the rod toward the door lock knob position. Place the bezels correctly before snapping them in position and attach the rear inside door handle bezel to the door trim panel along with the front inside door handle bezel. Use the screw tool to fasten the inside door handle bezel screw to the door trim panel until it reaches 1.9 N.m (17 lb in).

Reconnect the outside door lock rod and the outside door handle rod.

Slide the new inside door handle forward into place, ensuring it is properly seated.

The Rivet Gun (J 34940) is used to drill out the rivets.

Slide the inside door handle rearward.

Position the endgate handle assembly on the endgate and secure it using two rivets with the Rivet Gun (J 34940).

Slide the handle rearward to take it out of the door.

Reinstall the screws to attach the inside handle to the endgate handle assembly, tightening them to 2.8 N.m (25 lb in).

Remove the screws that secure the outside door handle to the door panel.

Begin by removing the door trim panel.

Release both lock rods from the lock rod retainers on the handle and remove the bolts retaining the latch control handle to the door.

Remove the door trim panel.

First, close the window.

Reinstall the door trim panel.
