    Q:
How to replace the blower control switches on Chevrolet K3500? Posted by Customer
    A:
First, take out the IP cluster bezel and then unclip the control assembly by using a small screwdriver. First, cut the electrical cord and then, if you have the assembly on your machine, remove the cables by pressing the buttons that secure them. With the engine running, next move the engine back to TDC and remove the blower switch rotary knob, the retaining clip from the shaft and then finally the blower switch. Installation starts with arranging the blower switch and fixing it with the retaining clip and then adding the blower switch rotary knob. Connect the wires going from the compressor to the control assembly and reattach the electrical wires. Return the control assembly to its place, replace the instrument panel trim plate and make sure all operations are working properly.

To replace the control assembly, first, the bezel-IP cluster and the radio need to be removed. Then, take out heater control assembly by pressing retaining tabs to detach and sliding the assembly backward away from the dash. Remove the front cover of the control head and disconnect the cables for temperature and mode from the rear of the control head then the electric connection.
