Before starting the replacement of the Evaporator drain hose begin by removing the negative Battery Cable and then uninstalling both the battery and its battery heat shield. Remove the hvac module drain tube together with the Evaporator from the hvac module. When installing the Evaporator and hvac module drain tube position it into the module so that it touches the dash panel as depicted in the illustration then verify complete seating on the hvac module. After installing the battery heat shield and battery follow by attaching the negative Battery Cable while tightening the negative Battery Cable bolt to 15 n.m (11 lb ft).

Remove the battery heat shield and the upper radiator support.

Slide the new O-ring onto the front evaporator tube until seated, then install the front evaporator tube to the rear evaporator tube and secure it with the retaining bolt, tightening it to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).

Remove the battery and its heat shield, followed by the intake manifold.

Tighten the retaining nut to 10 N.m (89 lb in) and then reinstall the intake manifold, battery heat shield, and battery.

Remove the cap or tape from the condenser, connect the front evaporator tube to it, and install the securing bolt, tightening it to 27 N.m (20 lb ft).
