The first step in servicing and repairing the exhaust system insulator along with hanger and bracket requires you to raise and support the vehicle. The rear exhaust hanger bracket requires installation by attaching it to hanger bracket nut before torquing the nut to 30 N.m (22 lb ft). Use a soapy solution to lubricate all needed surfaces of the exhaust pipe hanger rod and center exhaust hanger inner diameter. After that position exhaust hanger onto exhaust pipe hanger rod and fasten it to the rear suspension support bracket bolt with 30 N.m (22 lb ft) torque before lowering the vehicle.

Service the exhaust hangers by first raising and supporting the vehicle. Attach a suitable lubricant to the center exhaust hanger bolt which joins it with the rear suspension support bracket. Put a suitable lubricant on the exhaust pipe hanger rod before pulling the center exhaust hanger off the rod by pulling it outward. Begin by removing the nut linking the rear exhaust hanger with the rear exhaust hanger bracket then spray lubricant on the tail pipe hanger rod before pulling the rear exhaust hanger away. Use a soapy solution on both the tail pipe hanger rod and the inner diameter of the rear exhaust hanger to make installation smoother before putting the rear exhaust hanger onto the tail pipe hanger rod and properly positioning at the rear exhaust hanger bracket. Secure the rear exhaust hanger to its bracket by installing a nut which should reach torque specifications of 30 Nm (22 ft. lbs.). Follow these steps to install the center exhaust hanger: apply soapy solution on both the exhaust pipe hanger rod and the inner diameter of the center exhaust hanger, press the center exhaust hanger onto the exhaust pipe hanger rod, tighten the bolt which connects the center exhaust hanger to the rear suspension support bracket to 30 Nm (22 ft. lbs.).

Install and torque the rear exhaust hanger nut on the rear exhaust hanger bracket at 30 Nm (22 ft. lbs.). Start by applying the soapy solution to the exhaust pipe hanger rod and the inner diameter of the center exhaust hanger. Then insert the center part into the exhaust pipe hanger rod before fastening the rear suspension support bracket using a bolt set to 30 Nm (22 ft. lbs.). Lower the vehicle afterward.

The center exhaust hanger requires removal of its bolt connection to the rear suspension support bracket. The procedure includes applying soapy solution to both the exhaust pipe hanger rod and the center exhaust hanger inner diameter before placing the center exhaust hanger over the hanger rod followed by bolt installation to the rear suspension support bracket with a torque of 30 Nm (22 ft. lbs.). Finally, lower the vehicle.

Press the rear exhaust hanger over the tail pipe hanger rod and position it to the rear exhaust hanger bracket.

Remove the bolt securing the center exhaust hanger to the rear suspension support bracket, apply a suitable lubricant to the exhaust pipe hanger rod, then pull outward on the center exhaust hanger to detach it.

Apply a soapy solution to the exhaust pipe hanger rod and the inner diameter of the center exhaust hanger, press the center exhaust hanger over the exhaust pipe hanger rod, and install the bolt securing the center exhaust hanger to the rear suspension support bracket, tightening it to 30 Nm (22 ft. lbs.) before lowering the vehicle.

Remove the nut securing the rear exhaust hanger to the rear exhaust hanger bracket, apply lubricant to the tail pipe hanger rod, and pull outward on the rear exhaust hanger to remove it.
