    Q:
How to replace the rear tail light on GMC C3500? Posted by Customer
    A:
During tail/turn signal lamp replacement always place the headlamp switch in the off position while lowering the endgate or opening the cargo doors. Additionally you should be aware that z-71 tahoes have a rear tail lamp cover which might break while removing it. Detach the body from the tail/turn signal lamp assembly by unscrewing pair of retaining screws before removing the electrical connector. Identify the bulb needing replacement: each bulb has a specific function on the lamp assembly: the top bulb operates as a parking lamp and the central bulb performs back up and indicator functions while the bottom bulb functions as a back up lamp. To replace a bulb simply pull it directly from its base through the built-in tab slots. Begin the installation by inserting the bulb straight into the lamp assembly before tightening the base to the lens assembly with 2 screws alongside reconnecting electrical connectors according to fastener notice in service precautions. Secure the tail/turn signal lamp assembly back onto the vehicle using 2 screws while tightening them to 2 n.m (18 lb in).

    Q:
How to replace the Tail Light/Turn Signal Lamp on GMC C2500? Posted by Customer
    A:
To replace the tail/turn signal lamp, first make sure the headlamp switch is in off position and reduce the end gate. Separate the 2 screws on which the tail/turn signal lamp assembly is fixed to the body and locate the bulb that has to be replaced: the top bulb lighting is a parking lamp and stop lamp, the middle bulb lighting is a turn indicator lamp, the lower one is a back up lamp. Turn the socket assembly to take it out of the housing. For the process of installation, torque the socket and tighten in position before reinstalling the tail/turn signal lamp to the vehicle using 2 screws. Lastly, close the end gate and check out the operation.

    Q:
How to replace the rear tail light on GMC C2500? Posted by Customer
    A:
If you want to replace the tail/turn signal lamp, make sure to get the headlamp switch in off position and the endgate lowered. There should be screws that hold the tail/turn signal lamp assembly to the body which you should remove. You will find the bulb that you need to change. Lift the socket assembly with the bulb housing (I) by turning the socket assembly right and left to disengage the bulb during each step. Then, plug in the new bulb to the socket, and place the socket back on the housing, turning it to lock it. After that, mount the tail/turn signal lamp assembly to the vehicle using the screws, properly tightened with 2 n.m (18 lb in). Finally turn the endgate to close it and check if the lamp works properly.
