    Q:
How to replace the intake manifold on Chevrolet Traverse? Posted by Customer
    A:
To replace the Intake Manifold, start by turning the ignition off and removing the fuel injector site shield and then the outlet duct of air cleaner. Unplug the Brake Booster Vacuum Hose and the rear positive crankcase ventilation hose and plug the purge solenoid valve electrical connector and also the purge line from the purge solenoid valve. Pull off the electrical connector retainer , the throttle body electrical connector from the Intake Manifold, then the fuel pipe shield and the engine wiring retaining clip from the side of the Intake Manifold. Unscrew the wiring harness retaining bolt and the engine wiring harness retaining clips from the Intake Manifold, setting the engine wiring harness out of the way. Next you take out the Intake Manifold insulator and the Intake Manifold bolts after which you remove Intake Manifold with the throttle body. If changing the Intake Manifold, disassemble and clean it before installing. If there is a need for one, assemble the new Intake Manifold and put a new Intake Manifold Gasket and then put the Intake Manifold and tighten the Intake Manifold bolts to 23 nm (17 lb ft) in a circular pattern, starting at the center. Mount the engine wiring harness and fix the retaining clips to Intake Manifold as well as the side of Intake Manifold. Install the fuel pipe shield making sure to engage the wiring harness connector correctly, then fit decentralize the electrical connector to the throttle body, and install decentralize wires to the throttle body retainer. Tie purge line to the purge solenoid valve and the purge solenoid valve electrical connector. Newly install the rear positive crankcase ventilation hose and attach the Brake Booster Vacuum Hose onto the Intake Manifold. Finally, you should install the air cleaner outlet duct as well as the fuel injector sight shield.

    Q:
How to replace the intake manifold on GMC Terrain? Posted by Customer
    A:
To remove the Intake Manifold, first, remove the canister historic purge tube at the Intake Manifold side only. Then, remove the manifold absolute pressure sensor, the Fuel Pump, and Throttle Body. Now, move the brake booster vacuum hose clamp down on the Intake Manifold and remove the oil level indicator tube. Unbolt the fuel rail harness connector bracket and Intake Manifold insulator then remove the Intake Manifold insulator. Discharge the system a/c and take out the a/c line nut and line off the compressor, and move the line to one side. Re-locate the Intake Manifold retaining nuts and bolts , taking out the Intake Manifold , while indicating as an Intake Manifold Gasket is reusable (not damaged). Remove necessary electrical connectors and transfer parts as required, cleaning and inspect the Intake Manifold. Following installation, begin with installing the Intake Manifold and hand-tighten bolts and nuts. Install the Intake Manifold bolts and nuts to the value of 10 nm (89 lb in) for the bolts and nuts, then use the Intake Manifold insulator and tighten its bolt to 10 nm (89 lb in). Secure the fuel rail harness connector bracket to the Intake Manifold and bolt it using 10 nm (.89 lb in). Secure the oil level indicator tube and run the brake booster vacuum hose clamp onto the Intake Manifold, followed by securing the Throttle Body, fuel pump, and the manifold absolute pressure sensor. Finally fit the evaporative emission canister purge tube in to the Intake Manifold end only, install new seal washers to the compressor hose, install the compressor tube to the actual compressor compressor hose nut and you should tighten it to 22 nm (16lb ft)you should now connect the engine harness electrical connector if necessary, and recharge the a/c.
