    Q:
How to replace the oil pan on Chevrolet Malibu? Posted by Customer
    A:
The replacement of an Oil Pan requires two steps: raising and supporting the vehicle and draining the engine oil. Begin by removing the lower ac compressor bolt then the engine Drive Belt. Moving on to remove the Oil Pan bolts before removing the Oil Pan itself. Ensure the Oil Pan and lower crankcase mounting surface remain free of debris while they need to be clean from oil. Lay a 2 mm bead of gm p/n 12346286 (Canadian P/N 10953472) along the oil tank's outer edge and open oil intake area but do not use more than necessary. Secure the Oil Pan using bolts to a torque of 25 nm (18 ft. Lbs.). Return the ac compressor bolts with the engine Drive Belt in place and lower the vehicle while filling the engine oil to correct specifications.
