To remove the engine Flywheel, first, disconnect the transmission according to the appropriate procedures for either the 6l80, 6l50 rear wheel drive or the 6l50 all wheel drive models. Then remove the engine Flywheel bolts and the Flywheel itself. Clean and inspect the Flywheel; if the teeth are damaged, test the Starter for appropriateness in operation and replace it if the excessive wear or damage replacements apply, following relevant procedures for Starter motor replacement for lh2, lc3, or ly7. To install, return the engine fly-wheel into position and install the transmission as described for the various models.
