    Q:
How to replace the vacuum brake booster on Buick Rendezvous? Posted by Customer
    A:
Relieve fuel line pressure and then drain all the coolant before you can replace the vacuum Brake Booster. Take off the Coolant Reservoir, left front cross brace, and pcm cover from the air cleaner housing, and set the pcm aside while it is not disconnected. After that, take off the air cleaner outlet duct and the air cleaner, and then pull the fuel lines off the pipes and vapor line while checking metal or plastic connectors for any service. Take off the heater hose from the crossover pipe, put it to the side, and disconnect the fuel lines from the clip on the shock tower to access the brake pipes. Detach the fluid level sensor switch from the Brake Master Cylinder, take out the brake lines and the master cylinder, then take off the abs module and its bracket. Take off the Brake Booster Vacuum Hose from the vacuum Brake Booster check valve and set it aside, and afterward take out the knee bolster. First, take out the booster push pin retaining clip and washer on the Brake Pedal assembly. After that, remove the Brake Booster push rod from the Brake Pedal. Take out the Brake Booster mounting nuts, followed by the front Engine Mount nuts and bolts, and rotate the engine forward so you can remove the Brake Booster. When installing, put the Brake Booster onto the cowl and mounting plate, then insert the mounting nuts and tighten them to 25 n.m (18 lb ft). Once the master cylinder is in, put the Brake Booster push rod onto the Brake Pedal and secure it with the washer and clip. Make adjustments to the stoplamp switch, put the knee bolster in place, turn the engine backward, and reattach the engine mounts with their bolts and nuts. Attach the Brake Booster Vacuum Hose to the vacuum Brake Booster check valve, and afterwards, put on the abs module bracket and module, along with the Brake Master Cylinder and brake lines. Connect the master cylinder reservoir fluid sensor's electrical connector, fit the fuel pipes into the shock tower, and reconnect the heater hose to the coolant crossover pipe. In the end, put the air cleaner assembly and outlet duct, the pcm and its cover, the left front cross brace, and the Coolant Reservoir in place. Put coolant in the cooling system and make sure to bleed the brakes afterward.

    Q:
How to replace the vacuum brake booster on Chevrolet Venture? Posted by Customer
    A:
You must first take out the air cleaner and duct before disconnecting the vacuum hose from the vacuum check valve and putting it at a new spot. Unhook the throttle cables from the Throttle Body and bracket and proceed by removing the heater pipe, fuel lines attached to the pipes and vapor line, abs hydraulic system components, the EGR Tube, cross-exhaust assembly and the transmission fluid filler tube. Before continuing take off the insulator and knee bolster from the driver side while disabling sir features. Rest the Brake Pedal in place to preserve the brake switch when detaching the Brake Booster push rod from the Brake Pedal unit. Separate the Brake Booster from its mounting positions by removing the fastener screws. Install the new Brake Booster on its designated spot between cowl and mounting plate before screwing the Brake Booster mounting nuts to 25 nm (18 ft. Lbs.). Wrap the brake push rod back to its Brake Pedal connection while setting the stoplamp switch correctly. Activate sir then replace the knee bolster along with the left panel insulator, transmission filler tube, exhaust crossover, egr tube, abs hydraulic parts, fuel lines, vapor line, heater pipe, throttle cables, and vacuum hose to check valve. Finish this procedure by placing the air cleaner and duct component parts.
