    Service of the knock sensor begins with air cleaner outlet resonator removal followed by disconnecting the wiring harness connector from the knock sensor before extracting it from the engine block. Before reinstalling the knock sensor into the engine block make sure to completely clean the threads before installing and secure the sensor at 19 N.m (14 lb ft torque setting). Resecure the knock sensor by reconnecting the wiring harness connector first then reinstall the air cleaner outlet resonator.
