    Remove the negative Battery Cable before trying to service the Knock Sensor. After that, lift the vehicle and take off the connection for the Knock Sensor harness. After that, take out the Knock Sensor (2) from the cylinder block (1). To install, put the Knock Sensor back into the cylinder block and make sure it is tightened with 19 n.m (14 lb ft). Then, attach the Knock Sensor harness connector, bring the vehicle back to the ground and lastly secure the negative Battery Cable.

    A Knock Sensor (KS) servicing begins with Intake Manifold removal and then requires the Knock Sensor wiring harness assembly extraction before taking out the Knock Sensor (KS). After installing the Knock Sensor apply torque at 20 n.m (15 lb ft). The repair process starts with installing the Knock Sensor wiring harness assembly and ends with reintroducing the Intake Manifold into position.

    The Knock Sensor (KS) is positioned at the top rear part of the engine. Start your work by disconnecting the negative Battery Cable for safety purpose. Then, you need to take out the engine cover and disconnect the ks harness connector. Next, get rid of the ks bolt and remove the ks . To install, first install Knock Sensor bolt and bolt, tighting the Knock Sensor bolt to 25 n.m (18 lb ft). One then connects the ks harness connector and then reinstall the engine cover.

    To service the knock sensor the first step is to turn OFF the ignition and drain off the cooling system. Make sure you follow vehicle lifting precautions before raising the vehicle. Disconnect the knock sensor harness connector and remove the knock sensor. For installation, connect the new knock sensor and torque it to 19 N.m (14 lb ft). Reinstall the knock sensor harness connector, lower it, and refill the cooling system.
