How to service the knock sensor on 2001 GMC Savana 3500?

To do a knock sensor service, turn OFF the ignition and drain the cooling system first. Be sure to observe the car lifting precautions before lifting the vehicle. Remove the knock sensor harness connector. And remove the knock sensor . Secure the new knock sensor by tightening it to 19N.m (14 lb-ft), then reconnect knock sensor harness connector for installation. Finally, lower the vehicle and re fill the cooling system.
