    Q:
How to replace the rear disc brake backing plate on Chevrolet Trailblazer? Posted by Customer
    A:
For this task start by lifting the vehicle to access the tire and wheel. The job starts by removing the park brake cable from the rear brake caliper and continues with the brake caliper and bracket assembly before taking out the brake rotor and park brake shoe. Rephrase the following sentence: after disassembling the components you can remove the backing plate from the axle housing by taking out the rear drive axle and backing plate nuts. After placing the backing plate onto the axle housing flange you need to fasten it with the backing plate nuts and tighten them to 135 nm (100 ft. Lbs.). First place back the rear drive axle components before adding the park brake shoe and rear brake rotor. Complete the reinstall with the brake caliper and bracket assembly. Reconnect the park brake cable to the rear brake caliper then adjust the park brake shoe. Finally attach the wheel and tire components on the vehicle.
