    The first safety precaution when replacing a cooling fan and shroud is to protect hands and clothing and tools from incoming electric fan start-up. Start by taking away the air cleaner and duct assembly after disconnecting the right side diagonal brace and radiator inlet hose. You must disconnect the cooling fan electrical connector from the harness and then normalize the engine mount strut nuts at the engine side. The upper radiator support needs its bracket brace bolts removed in order to rotate the struts and brackets toward the back. Move the overflow hose clamp on the coolant recovery reservoir before taking the hose out from the reservoir and overflow hose from its retainers and setting them aside. Begin by taking out the battery then remove the upper mount bolts of the radiator before handling the upper mount components. The vehicle requires Fan Shroud bolt removal, upper transmission oil cooler (TOC) line radiator disconnect and toc lines removal from the Fan Shroud retainer clip to successfully detach the cooling Fan Shroud and fans. Begin installation by first installing the cooling Fan Shroud with fans and afterward connect the toc lines to the Fan Shroud retainer clip and upper toc line to the radiator. Follow the installation of cooling Fan Shroud bolts through 6 nm (53 inch lbs.) torques and then proceed to install the radiator upper mounts and upper mount bolts at 10 nm (88 inch lbs.). Proceed by replacing the battery after installing the overflow hose on retainers before connecting it to the reservoir while refitting the coolant overflow hose clamp. The engine mount struts brackets must be horizontally aligned with the upper radiator support before installing the engine mount strut bracket brace bolts with a torque setting of 28 nm (21 ft. Lbs.). The procedure ends with installation of the radiator inlet hose and right side diagonal brace as well as the air cleaner duct assembly while engine side engine strut mount nut maximum torque reaches 48 nm (35 ft. Lbs.).
