Rear Speaker

First remove the rear quarter trim panel and afterward remove the subwoofer assembly securing bolts (W705202S) before pulling out the assembly. Disassemble the subwoofer by removing electrical connections while you detach its halves using a flat-bladed implement to free the retaining mechanisms. Fit the new speaker component inside the subwoofer assembly after removing the original speaker. Rejoin the subwoofer assembly halves with the retainers set correctly before placing the assembly back in its vehicle position. Reconnect electrical wiring before installing bolts (W705202S) to the subwoofer assembly while achieving 9 N.m torque (80 lb in). The process concludes with putting back the rear quarter trim panel.

The first step to remove a rear overhead speaker involves both removing the speaker grille alongside the roof inner trim panel when needed. Start by removing the screws which permit detachment of the speaker from its bracket while periodical removal of electrical connectors might be necessary. Reconnect the electrical connectors after which you must fasten the speaker onto the bracket based on instructions outlined in Service Precautions section. Fasten the speaker with two screws while tightening them to 2 N.m which equals 18 lb in. Reinstallation of the roof inner trim panel follows if removal occurred and both speaker grille replacement and component operational tests must be performed.

Verify the component's operation.

Connect the electrical connector first.

Disconnect the small 2 pin electrical connector located at the end of the speaker.

Install the screws and tighten them to 2 N.m (18 lb in).
