    Q:
How to replace the Engine Mount Torque Strut on Buick Lucerne? Posted by Customer
    A:
The first step to replace the engine mount strut requires removal of the coolant recovery reservoir nuts followed by the push pin retainer then taking the recovery reservoir off the studs before setting it aside. The first step consists of removing the two parts of the engine mount strut: the nut and bolt and the strut itself. The first step during installation requires you to position the engine mount strut according to the fastener notice instructions. Position the engine mount strut correctly before installing its bolt with a torque of 70 n.m (52 lb ft) and subsequently installing its nut to the same torque specification of 70 n.m (52 lb ft). The final step involves installing the recovery reservoir by placing it on the studs and tightening both nuts as well as the push pin retainer to 6 n.m (53 lb in).

    Q:
How to replace the front engine mount on Buick Lucerne? Posted by Customer
    A:
The first step to replace engine front mount requires front air deflector removal. Place a suitable adjustable jack together with a block of wood under the Oil Pan. The Engine Mount bracket bolts should be removed first followed by taking out the Engine Mount to frame nut and Engine Mount to bracket nut. The adjustable jack with wood block should be used to lift the engine until the Engine Mount can be detached. The installation requires mounting the engine bracket into the engine bracket while following the guidelines stated in the fastener notice. The Engine Mount bracket bolts require torque to 70 n.m which is equivalent to 52 lb ft during installation. Afterwards position the Engine Mount into the bracket then install the Engine Mount to bracket nut which must be tightened to 80 n.m (59 lb ft). Position the engine using the adjustable jack until you can install the Engine Mount to frame nut. Tighten it to 80 n.m (59 lb ft). To finish the procedure eliminate the front air deflector and detach both the adjustable jack and block of wood underneath the Oil Pan.
