2000 Buick LeSabre Parts Questions & Experts Answers

  • Q: How to replace the rear side door window channel on 2000 Buick LeSabre?
A: Starting the replacement of the rear side door window front channel requires a fully raised window followed by removal of door trim panel, door module and water deflector. First remove the upper fastener that is both the door applique lower fastener and then loosen the lower fastener. Pull down the window channel assembly until its upper bracket passes by the door applique afterward remove the front window channel from the door. Put the front window channel into the door starting at the top before adding the bottom fastener into its keyhole slot. Use a clockwise rotation on the top part of the front window channel to match it with the bottom edge of the window before installing the upper fastener and tightening it to 2 N.m (18 lb in). Fit the lower fastener to its keyhole slot then secure it at 9 N.m (80 lb in.). The installation process ends with replacement of the water deflector followed by door module and door trim panel.
