- Q: How to replace the wiper arm on 2000 Cadillac Seville?A: To dismantle the Wiper Arm, you have to start by placing the wiper arms in park and unhook the wiper nozzle hose off the washer hose connector. Next one remove the cover off the nut and then the nut off the Wiper Arm. To help with taking it off, if the rocking of the Wiper Arm does not make it loosen its grip from the Drive Shaft, a battery has to be used to pull it. After loosening, take off the Wiper Arm because of the Drive Shaft then unplug the Wiper Blade from the Wiper Arm. In instillation, first attach the Wiper Blade on the Wiper Arm while the wiper system is in a park position, to avoid destruction. Park the wipers if they are at mid-wipe. Clean the wiper transmission drive shaff knurls with a wire brush before installing the Wiper Arm on to the Drive Shaft while maintaining the Wiper Arm 46mm(1.8in) from the bot of the wb on the passenger side and 67mm(2.6in) on the driver side. Mount the nut at the Wiper Arm and tighten for 30 n.m (22 lb ft) and the nut. Lubricate the washer hose with windshield washer solvent to ease its fitting on the washer nozzle and then hook up the wiper hose to the washer nozzle connector. Finally, run the wiper and washers to check whether everything is working properly.
