A: To fix the Brake Caliper Bracket you should lift the vehicle and keep it stable while removing the tire and wheel elements. When your vehicle features abs take out the bolt for the abs speed sensor bolt and detach the sensor from the Steering Knuckle before setting it aside. Install a c-clamp on the front brake caliper and tighten it to compress the mechanism. After removing the two caliper guide pin bolts (1,2), lower the brake components until they do not contact the flexible brake hoses. Secure the caliper housing separately from the bracket to prevent brake hose damage with wire support. Use the necessary tools to take out both caliper bracket mounting bolts and drive out the caliper bracket. Take the two caliper guide pins and seals from their positions on the caliper bracket along with the caliper bolt sleeve. Attach the new guide pin seals properly by smearing them with gm p/n 18010909 silicone grease before pushing them into the caliper bracket using a 19 mm socket and hammer. Apply a dose of the silicone grease to each guide pin and the caliper bolt sleeve as you install them. Fit the guide pin and its bolt sleeve into the top part of the caliper bracket while inserting the plain guide pin into the bottom bracket. Place the caliper bracket onto the vehicle and fasten it with the two mounting bolts at 88 nm (65 ft. Lbs.) torque while keeping the brake hose smooth and straight. Secure the caliper to its position on the vehicle by adding guide pin bolts 18 feet pounds) then reinsert the abs wheel speed sensor into the socket at the knuckle but with one bolt thumb tight (.63 foot pound). Place the tire and wheel back on then return the vehicle to its normal position.
