How to replace the rear parking brake cable on 2001 Buick Century?

The first step for changing the rear park brake cable involves raising the vehicle before finding appropriate support. Relieve pressure on the park brake cable at the equalizer while you disconnect the rear segment from the front area. Users must disconnect the right rear cable from its clip while they must completely untighten the equalizer nut from the equalizer stud found in the left rear cable. The park brake cable detachment works by removing it from the actuator lever while also taking out the support bracket retaining pin followed by disconnecting the cable. You should put the new park brake cable into the support bracket slot before inserting the cable retaining pin. The park brake cable must be attached to the actuator lever before installing the rear cable onto the front cable. The right rear cable requires connection to the clip whereas the left rear cable uses an equalizer assembly to link the equalizer nut to the equalizer stud. The last step includes park brake adjustment and lowering the vehicle to completion.
