How to replace the rear brake disc (J55) on 2001 Cadillac DeVille?

To replace the rear Brake Disc (J55), you should first release the park brake and lift and support the vehicle. Take off tire and wheel assembly, where heavy mechanic's wire or equivalent is used to support the brake caliper if it is detached from its mount and prior brake hydraulic flexible hose is still attached to the mount; not doing so could damage and leak brake fluid. Next, take off the brake caliper and bracket from your vehicle as you support caliper assembly off the disc and remove Brake Disc by gently turning it as you pull it from the hub and bearing assembly. Clean any rust or contaminates from the wheel bearing flange, Brake Disc, and mating surfaces of the Brake Disc using the Wheel Hub resurfacing kit (J 42450-A) for both sides of the Brake Disc and or the hub flange and the rotor resurfacing kit (J 4101) for the Brake Disc flange. Install the new Brake Disc slowly by rotating while pressing it towards the hub and bearing assembly then replace the brake caliper and bracket as an assembly then the tire and wheel assembly and last but not least lower your vehicle.
