How to replace the A/C Condenser in a system on 2001 Cadillac Eldorado?

Recovery of the refrigerant must occur before performing a new condenser installation. Start by removing the Radiator first before proceeding to remove the condenser inlet and outlet lines and finally disassembling the condenser to Radiator bolt assembly. Next remove the condenser from its position. Install the condenser over the Radiator by tightening its bolts to 12 n.m (9 lb ft). Install the condenser Radiator assembly into the car while following up with proper connection of refrigerant lines to the condenser . Finish the installation by tightening the line fittings to 24 n.m (18 lb ft). Refrigerant recharging follows a leak test of the fittings which uses the halogen leak detector model j 39400-a.
