  A: You must uninstall the intake air resonator before starting the mass air flow (MAF) and intake air temperature (IAT) sensor replacement. To replace the maf/iat sensor we should disconnect its electrical connector then remove the clamps holding the sensor assembly onto air cleaner and intake air duct with great caution to protect the maf sensor from drops while preventing screen damage or sensor element contact. When handling the sensing elements avoid direct contact with lubricants and solvents while using soap solution slightly diluted to help with installation. Extract the maf/iat sensor from its position between the air cleaner and intake air duct. When installing the maf/iat sensor place it carefully into the air cleaner and intake air duct then fasten the clamps while keeping them tight at 3 n.m (27 lb in). After reconnecting the maf/iat sensor electrical connector install the intake air resonator while checking for air leakages.
