How to Properly Align and Install a Trunk Lock Cylinder on 2001 Chevrolet Camaro?

To replace the liftgate lock cylinder, open the window panel. For Chevrolet, remove the rear end finish panel; for Pontiac, remove the taillamp filler. Remove the rivets and take out the lock cylinder. Install the new cylinder with the tan dot upward, then reinstall the panels.
