How to clean the antenna mast on 2001 Chevrolet Corvette?

Turn the ignition to "ACC" or "ON" to elevate the antenna to its maximum extension by powering the radio. Use a mineral spirit wetted clean cloth to wipe over antenna sections with special attention to removing dust from their joints. Follow this method by moving the cloth from top to bottom between each antenna section joint. Once finished you should dry the antenna with a new clean cloth that removes any released moisture and dust particles from its surface. Turn off the radio completely before the power antenna reaches its lowest point then follow the cleaning steps until you achieve a clean antenna. Finally, turn the ignition OFF.
