How to replace the brake master cylinder on 2001 Chevrolet Impala?

The Brake Fluid Level Sensor and pipes must detach from the master cylinder before brake service. Keep brake pipeline ends protected during this procedure. You should open brake pipe ends and pin them before unbolting the master cylinder's mounting nuts and removing it from the vehicle to drain all fluid from the reservoir. Before adding the master cylinder to the vacuum Brake Booster you must bleed all fluid from it. Then install and tighten the mounting nuts to 25 nm (18 ft. Lbs.). Connect the plugged brake pipes to the master cylinder and tighten fittings to 15 nm (11 ft. Lbs.). Rejoin the Brake Fluid Level Sensor electrical connector before bleeding the braking system.
