How to replace the ignition coil on 2001 Chevrolet Impala?

Turn off the vehicle ignition prior to replacing the Ignition Coil unit. Record the spark plug wire positions for later replacement before disconnecting the wires from the ignition coils. Use a 2 mm allen wrench to remove the screws which fasten the Ignition Coil to the Ignition Control Module so you can remove the coil. Position the Ignition Coil onto the Ignition Control Module then secure it by installing the 2 attaching screws to 4.5 n.m force (40 lb in torque). Reconnect the Spark Plug Wires exactly as documented when you took them off.
