How to replace the ignition coil on Chevrolet Impala?

Begin coil replacement by disconnecting both the negative Battery Cable and Spark Plug Wires from the coil under service. Plant the Ignition Coil screws to remove the coil component from inside the Ignition Control Module. After securing the coil assembly to the Ignition Control Module check the notice regarding fasteners in service precautions then begin assembly. Screw down Ignition Coil screws to 4.5 n.m (40 lb in) torque level. After the completion of service, reconnect the Spark Plug Wires to the Ignition Coil followed by connecting the negative Battery Cable.
