How to replace the ignition coil on Buick Terraza? Posted by Customer
    A:
To replace the Ignition Coil, you should remove the Intake Manifold cover and unplug the Brake Booster Vacuum Hose from the Intake Manifold. Then, unpocket the manifold absolute pressure (MAP) sensor electrical connector and the Ignition Coil electrical connector. Next, remove the left and right Spark Plug Wires off of the Ignition Coil. Break the upper left coil mount bracket bolt and lift the vehicle. Disconnect the wire retainers on the Ignition Coil bracket, and then remove the rest of the bolt and the two nuts on the coil bracket and lower the vehicle in order to remove the Ignition Coil bracket assembly. For installation process, begin by installing the Ignition Coil, raise the vehicle once more. Mount the upper right coil mount bolt, consult the fastener notice, and then mount coil mount nuts and tighten to 25 n.m (15 lb ft). Connect the wire retainers to the coil bracket and lower the vehicle, then install the upper left coil mount bolt and tighten it to 25 n.m(15 lb.ft). Connect the right and left side Spark Plug Wires to the Ignition Coil then the Ignition Coil electrical connection and making the map sensor electrical connection. Finally, reconnect the Brake Booster Vacuum Hose back to the Intake Manifold and also the Intake Manifold cover.

    Q:
How to replace the ignition coil housing on Chevrolet Malibu? Posted by Customer
    A:
Begin by disconnecting the EI module harness connector while the ignition is OFF. First unscrew the ignition coil housing attachment bolts to remove the ignition coil housing and spark plug boot from the engine. Make sure you check that the interconnect is properly aligned before you install new ignition coil housing and verify that the interconnect seal remains in position. Spread dielectric compound on the spark plug boots while checking for any signs of corrosion. Position the ignition coil housing onto the cam cover before tightening the attachment bolts to 10 N.m (89 lb in). You should install the EI module by using its attachment screws following a tightness setting of 1.5 N.m (13 lb in). Connect the EI module harness connector while pushing it in to receive the click signal then verify positive attachment by pulling it back.

    Q:
How to ensure proper installation of the ignition coil on Chevrolet Malibu? Posted by Customer
    A:
To replace the ignition coil housing, first turn the ignition OFF and disconnect the EI module harness connector. Take off the ignition coil housing bolts of the attachment and undo the ignition coil housing. Prior to installation, apply dielectric compound to the spark plug boots and ensure there is no corrosion. It is essential to coordinate the interconnect and have the interconnect seal attached prior to installing the attachment screws. Then, install to the cam cover the ignition coil housing, to which it is attached by the attachment bolts. Replace the EI module and attachment screws and tighten the ignition coil housing bolts to 10 N.m (89 lb in) and the EI module screws of 1.5 N.m (13 lb in). Lastly, plug the EI module harness connector by engaging it and it clicks, then retract it for a positive engagement.

How to replace the ignition coil on Chevrolet Uplander? Posted by Customer
    A:
The Ignition Coil replacement begins by taking out the intake manifold cover followed by hose detachment of the brake booster vacuum from the intake manifold then unfastening the manifold absolute pressure sensor and Ignition Coil electrical connectors. Begin by disconnecting both Spark Plug Wires from the Ignition Coil then remove the bracket bolt on the upper side of the left coil mount. Gently raise the vehicle. Next disconnect the wire retainers from the Ignition Coil bracket followed by removing the remaining bolt and two nuts. Finally lower the vehicle and remove the Ignition Coil bracket assembly. The installation process begins with attaching the Ignition Coil and then repositioning the vehicle to insert the upper right coil mount bolt. Installation begins with tightening the coil mount nuts to 25 n.m (15 lb ft) before attaching wire retainers to the coil bracket while lowering the vehicle. Fasten the upper left coil mount bolt with 25 n.m (15 lb ft) torque before wiring the right and left Spark Plug Wires to the Ignition Coil. You must now reattach the Ignition Coil electrical connector and the map sensor electrical connector before you reconnect the Brake Booster Vacuum Hose to the intake manifold then install the intake manifold cover.
