How to service the Coolant Temperature Sensor/Switch for the computer on Chevrolet Impala?

First, turn OFF the ignition and relieve the coolant pressure, but to service the Coolant Temperature Sensor/Switch (For Computer). First, disconnect the ECT sensor electrical connector, and then a deep well socket with extension is used to remove the sensor. For installation, apply sealer P/N 9985253 or equivalent on the threads of the engine coolant temperature sensor, and install the sensor in the engine and tighten to 23 N.m (17 lb ft). After plugging the ECT sensor electrical connector, turn on the engine and indicating for leaks and the level of the coolant.
