  A: First free up the parking brake and jack up the vehicle for support. Take off the tire and wheel before recording the position of the drum in relation to the hub. Unscrew and take off the Brake Drum while handling the retaining clip properly. Remove the access hole plug from the backing plate before you use a flat-bladed tool to disengage the self-adjuster and loosen the adjuster screw through the access hole. When the drum does not come off without resistance, loosen the Parking Brake Cable to make the process easier. Replace the access hole plug to block contaminants. Spread a tiny amount of penetrating oil on the Brake Drum center hole and take off the drum. Place the Brake Drum marks with the hub marks then install the Brake Drum while checking brake shoe settings. Place the tire and wheel on the vehicle afterward you lower it.
