How to replace the rear side inner door handle on 2001 GMC Savana 1500?

First, remove the right side rear door trim panel to replace the rear side door inside handle. Next remove the push pin rivet that is on the back edge of the rear door within the inside handle of the rear door and slide the handle forward to disconnect it from the right rear door. Take the lock rods out from the handle and take it completely out. For installation, place the new rear door inside handle on the right rear door and affix the lock rods to it. Make sure that the tabs on the handle are parallel to the slots in the door and then slide the handle backwards to lock it into place. Lastly, the reinstall the push pin rivet at the rear edge of the handle and the right side rear door trim panel back in place.
