• Q: How to replace the Wiper Pivot (RHD) on 2002 Cadillac Seville?

  A: Start replacing the wiper transmission rhd by first removing both Wiper Arm and blade units then the air inlet cover. At this stage take the transmission drive link socket apart from the wiper motor through the wiper linkage separator tool (J 39232) while rotating the transmission to free it from the plenum system. Take out the transmission unit when you have removed and discarded all 6 bolts. Mount the transmission into place and fasten the 6 bolts before tightening them to 8 n.m (70 lb in). Mount the drive link socket onto the wiper motor crank ball by using the wiper linkage installer tool (J 39529) while verifying that the socket rests completely on the mounting socket. Put back the air inlet filter and reattach both wiper pieces and their mounting system.
