How to replace the brake master cylinder on 2002 Chevrolet Cavalier?

Take these steps to change the Brake Master Cylinder: first disconnect the Brake Fluid Level Sensor electric connector and release the brake pipes from the master cylinder. Next use plugs to seal open brake pipes against fluid loss and contamination. Untighten the mounting nuts from the master cylinder and take it out from the booster. To install the master cylinder secure it onto the booster frame before using a tool to tighten its mounting nuts to 27 nm (20 ft. Lbs.). Connect the brake pipes to the master cylinder by hand tight then tighten brake pipe tube nuts to 23 nm (17 ft. Lbs.). Reconnect Brake Fluid Level Sensor cable to its bracket while adding new brake fluid into the master cylinder until it reaches proper level then complete standard brake service procedure.
