How to replace the front brake caliper bracket on 2003 Cadillac CTS?

Start work only after securing a solid brake pedal because moving the vehicle with bad brakes could hurt someone. Lift the brake caliper off the bracket then suspend it using wire mechanics fixtures to secure the hydraulic brake hose. Take off both brake pads and retainers from the Brake Caliper Bracket prior to removing its bracket bolts and caliper bracket from the knuckle. If you find cracks or damage on the Brake Caliper Bracket replacement is necessary. Secure the Brake Caliper Bracket onto the knuckle but apply gm p/n 12345493 threadlocker only to first two-thirds of the lower caliper bracket bolts before installing them. After ten minutes let the threadlocker cure, place the two Brake Caliper Bracket bolts into position and effortlessly tighten them to 185 n.m (137 lb ft). Reattach the brake caliper by inserting its brackets into the front brake caliper holder and fitting the Brake Pad retainers and pads into the holder.
