How to replace the brake line on 2003 Cadillac CTS?

Start brake hose replacement by properly elevation and stabilizing the vehicle. Take off the right tire and wheel unit before cleaning any brake oil and outside material from both hoses and pipe connections. Use a rubber plug to seal the brake pipe opening and protect it from losing fluid and foreign materials. Take off the brake hose from the brake pipe and seal the exposed fitting end with a cap. Push the retaining clip off the brake hose end and use a flat-blade tool to take out the brake hose retainer from the hose. Take out the brake hose from both its brake hose bracket position and frame location. Noticeably twist and bend the brake hose when installing it. Position the brake hose on its respective bracket and frame and snap the brake hose retainers onto the hose. Put the brake hose into the brake pipe fittings and tighten them to 15 N.m (11 lb ft) while removing the rubber plug from the brake pipe end. Empty the brake fluid before putting back the wheel tires and lower the vehicle into position.
