How to replace the headlamp washer pump on 2003 Cadillac CTS?

To begin replacing the headlamp washer pump you must take off the lower air deflector and empty the washer solvent reservoir. Unplug the power and washer lines from their connections to the washer pump. Use a flat-bladed tool to remove the washer pump from its top while holding it in place with one hand. Afterwards pull out the washer pump along with the washer pump grommet and dispose of both. Apply clean water to the washer pump intake nozzle before putting the new washer pump grommet in position inside the washer solvent container. Thread the washer pump nozzle deeply into the washer solvent container while making sure it stays locked in place. Place connecting wires back to the washer pump before fitting the washer hose and installing the lower air deflector. Pull up the hood lid and put washer solvent into its storage area before lowering the hood.
