  A: Begin replacement by pressing tabs on the access cover to open it and then remove it from position. Users should flex the passenger side of the hvac filter housing to free the hvac filter from its housing before pulling out the filter from its position inside the cowl and housing. The installer should flex the passenger side of the hvac Air Filter housing to allow the Air Filter to slide in and should then both add the filter and the access cover. The removal process of hvac Air Filter and housing requires first pressing tabs to let go of the access cover then removing the push pin retainer from the forward hvac filter and housing edge. A flat bladed tool should be utilized to release the retainer tab on the passenger side by sliding the tool between the Air Filter and compartment wall. Remove the hvac filter and housing assembly through the opening by grasping it then take out the hvac filter from the housing. To install the hvac filter you should first place it inside the hvac filter housing then put the housing into the cowl opening before pushing it back until it creates a clicking sound. Replace the access cover after you insert the push pin retainer in the forward corner of the hvac filter housing.
