How to replace the wiper arm on 2003 Chevrolet Impala?

You need the Wiper Arm puller tool part number j 39822 before starting this task. Turn the key to "on" position then select the Wiper Switch to delay mode. When the wipers stop at their lowest position turn the ignition to off. Detach the washer hose from the Wiper Arm before removing the nut cover and Wiper Arm nut. You can easily take away the Wiper Arm from wiper transmission when you use Wiper Arm puller (J 39822). To install the wiper arms fit them onto the wiper transmission. Place the right arm 97-107 mm (3.82-4.21 in) away from the end of the wiper while setting the left arm 125-147 mm (4.92-5.78 in) away from the wiper blade tip to the air inlet screen. Secure the Wiper Arm nut to 30 n.m (22 lb ft) torque setting then put on the Wiper Arm nut cover. Set the washer hose back onto the Wiper Arm while checking if the wiper system functions as expected.
