  A: To replace air bag clock spring, disable the sir system by removing the air bag clock spring and proceeding to the removal of the wheel. Next, remove the Steering Wheel nut being careful not to ignore the alignment mark on the Steering Shaft and wheel. Take off the Steering Wheel then pull the tilt lever out in a straight position if the car is equipped with a tilt column and remove the tilt lever assembly. Now remove 2 screws of the lower shroud head torx(R) from here and then remove the lower shroud itself, then the upper shroud and 2 screws from it torx(R). Remove the wire harness straps from the wire harness in the Steering Wheel column, then remove the retaining ring and the air bag clock spring from the Steering Shaft, discarding the old coil if it's being replaced. For installing, steer the wheels straight forward and position the block tooth and centering mark on 12. In case centering is required, take instructions from the notice of coil assembly. The new air bag clock spring will not require to be centered; do not remove the centering tab unless installation is complete. Mount the air bag clock spring assembly to the horn tower of the turn signal cancel cam assembly and push the new air bag clock spring onto the Steering Shaft assembly with the groove on the coil and the secure retaining ring firmly in place. Following the removal of the centering tab, install the upper shroud using 2 torx(R) head screws, pulling them taut to 1.5 n.m (13 lb in), and install the lower shroud and tighten using 2 torx(R) head screws to 1.5 n.m (13 lb in).
