  A: The replacement of a rear Door Hinge should start with open doors followed by removal of the door trim panel together with water deflector and center pillar garnish molding. Remove the door wire harness connector first from the center pillar before detaching it from the body wire harness. Begin the process by removing the fasteners that connect the door check link on the pillar and the fasteners that secure the intermediate hinge on both door units. Help raises the door while marking both parts with a grease pencil before you detach the fasteners between hinge and body along with hinge and door. Install the hinge body half by referring to the pillar marks then fasten the hinge to body with 35 n.m (26 lb ft). Fasten the door half of the hinge to the pencil marks on the door while tightening its fasteners to 34 n.m (24 lb ft). Two persons should help align the Door Hinge parts before lowering the door until it mates properly. Use loctite(R) blue gm p/n 12345382 or (Canadian P/N 10953489) on the intermediate hinge fasteners before installation in which you should tighten them to 24 n.m (18 lb ft). Put back the door check link then wire the door harness to the body harness before finally attaching the wire connector to the hinge pillar. Reinstall the center pillar garnish molding along with water deflector and door trim panel while adjusting the door properly then use touch-up paint to fix any body color paint on link fasteners.
