How to replace the thermostat housing (LA3, LY9) on 2004 Cadillac CTS?

In order to change Thermostat housing (LA3, LY9), remove first the coolant outlet pipe and Intake Manifold. Next, remove the Thermostat housing bolts and then make off the Thermostat housing together with the Thermostat from the engine. Remove the seal ring from the Thermostat and pull out the Thermostat from the Thermostat housing. For installation, insert the Thermostat into the Thermostat housing and replace with a new seal ring. Mount the Thermostat housing onto the engine with the Thermostat, make certain to install the Thermostat housing bolts in accordance with the fastener notice in service precautions, tightening them to-tight to 20 nm (15 ft. Lbs.). Last but not least, reinstall the Intake Manifold and the coolant outlet pipe.
