How to replace the Bank 1 (Right) Intake Cam Gear on 2004 Cadillac SRX?

Before you start to replace the right bank 1 (Right) intake Camshaft position actuator you must first remove the right exhaust Camshaft actuator followed by taking out the intake Camshaft position actuator bolt and the right intake Camshaft position actuator. The installation process requires verification of the correct actuator by confirming its 'in' marking on the body which indicates intake usage. For accurate replacement check the outer ring of the actuator for the r and triangle mark to match the highlighted Timing Chain link on the right side of the engine. First attach the intake Camshaft position actuator to the Camshaft while installing its bolt fastener with a wrench positioned on the Camshaft hexile to protect against damage and prevent timing drive chain failure through torque reactions. Make sure the alignment is correct then tighten the Camshaft position actuator bolt before installing the right exhaust Camshaft actuator.
