The first step for replacing the rear sliding door lock striker requires removal of the right hand body side trim panel. The procedure commences with removing the two bolts holding the rear storage compartment before removing the bolts and the striker and the spacer and washer and the nut plate. Start the installation process by putting in the nut plate followed by the washer after that install the spacer then finish with the striker. Fix the striker bolts and tighten them to 24 N.m (18 lb ft). Set your work by placing back the right hand body side trim panel.
