Remove the vise-mounted assembly and disassemble j 41688 before applying additional lubrication to the centering sphere. Match the alignment marks to install the upper and lower shafts at their 90-degree contact point. The Steering Column support assembly requires installation onto the Steering Column jacket assembly through a sequence of 4 support screws that should reach 8 n.m of torque (71 lb in). Steer the support assembly first before installing the adapter with bearing assembly into the jacket assembly while maintaining correct alignment.
