The procedure to replace the power steering pressure hose rpo code 2.2l (L61) starts with hoisting the vehicle and removing the front Exhaust Pipe when the transmission is automatic. After detaching the power steering pressure hose from the power steering gear you should lower the vehicle. Terminate the upper air cleaner assembly before removing the power steering pressure hose from the power steering pump pipe for easy extraction from the vehicle. Start installation by attaching the new power steering pressure hose to the vehicle while preventing twisting or bending of the hose. Fasten the power steering pressure hose to the pump pipe by torquing it to 27 n.m (20 lb ft).
