The process of replacing a Power Steering Pump on a 2.2l (L61) engine requires users to start by removing upper air cleaner and duct components before they should eliminate an evaporative emission canister purge valve if their vehicle has one. First disconnect the power steering hoses from the pump before removing the two pump mounting bolts. Fasten the new Power Steering Pump onto the engine by using two mounting bolts and tighten them to 26 n.m (19 lb ft). Reinstall the evaporative emission canister purge valve if present then reinstall the power steering hoses to the pump followed by the upper air cleaner and duct. Add power steering fluid to the pump followed by a power steering system air bleed procedure.
