2004 Chevrolet S10 Seat Belt Parts Questions & Experts Answers
Q: How to replace the rear seat belt in a Crew Cab on 2004 Chevrolet S10?
A: Start the process of Crew Cab rear seat belt replacement by removing the bolt between the lower anchor plate and vehicle body. A flat-bladed tool should carefully open the cover of the upper seat belt anchor plate to access and remove its securing bolt. You must first take off the body side trim panel followed by feeding the seat belt into the opening of the body side trim cover. Detach the bolt securing the seat belt retractor assembly before removing it from the vehicle. Secure the seat belt retractor assembly inside the vehicle by using the bolt and torquing it to 70 N.m (52 lb ft). You should feed the seat belt through the body side trim cover opening followed by reinstalling the same panel while attaching the upper seat belt anchor plate using its bolt which requires 70 N.m (52 lb ft) torque. Fleet forward the upper seat belt anchor plate cover after you place the lower seat belt anchor plate and bolt correctly while tightening them to 70 N.m (52 lb ft).
