The replacement of air temperature actuators begins by removing the right side instrument panel insulator and instrument panel compartment. Remove the air temperature actuator screws then disconnect its electrical connector. Extract the air temperature actuator from its placement on the HVAC Module Assembly. Start by positioning the air temperature actuator then slot the electric actuator driver into the flats of the shaft with the locating hole matching the HVAC module case alignment pin. Reposition the actuator driver onto the shaft until it reaches its full position where both mounting holes reach equilibrium with the HVAC module case. Secure the air temperature actuator screws at 1.5 N.m (13 lb in) torque while connecting the electrical connector. The final steps include placing back the I/P compartment and right side I/P insulator while performing actuator calibration.
